Allen, TX has a population of approximately 94,179 people. The city is a northern suburb of Dallas and was incorporated in 1953. In 1953, the town had only a few hundred residents. The city began to see growth due to the construction of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and U.S. Highway 75. The city of Allen has a rich history that dates back many years. The first people to settle the area were the Caddo, Comanche. Later settlers from Europe and other parts of the world started showing up in what is now present-day Allen.
